Math K and Math 1 have been reworked to include additional direct instruction in the form of new lessons, instructional videos, and added practice in both hands-on and interactive formats. A weekly review has been added at the end of each module to reinforce the skills taught in number sense, addition and subtraction, sorting and classifying, comparing sizes and recognizing shapes, measurement, and patterns, while also connecting math to everyday situations and problems. There are new print workbooks to accompany both of these courses.

Math Modeling is a new course title that has been added to Accelerate’s high school catalog for SY25-26. The Semester A portion of the course is available now, and the Semester B portion is slated for release at the end of August. In this course, students explore key mathematical concepts through real-world problem-solving. Semester A focuses on data, research, and financial decision-making. Through this work, students will learn about and complete application tasks that involve data analysis, probability, and research design, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to carry out and evaluate research conclusions. Semester A also involves income and banking, investing and insurance, and credit and loans, with an emphasis on applying mathematical reasoning to everyday financial situations.

Note that Canvas and Schoology versions of the above courses are expected to be available on or around July 1st.
