π Curriculum Updates for SY26-27
April 17, 2026
Earlier this winter, we shared an overview of planned curriculum updates for the 2026β2027 school year, reflecting our ongoing commitment to evaluate and enhance our course offerings. As part of this process, we prioritized updates driven by evolving state and national standards, advancements in instructional design, and feedback from our school partners to ensure a rigorous and engaging learning experience for all students.
Since our last communication, a few adjustments have been made to our curriculum plans for the upcoming school year. We want to provide clarity on those updates below:
π Additions
A new version of our high school Nutrition course will be released to remove references to βMyPlate,β ensuring alignment with updated guidance and standards.
Updated versions of Science 1 and Science 5 will be released for Canvas and Schoology, only. Lesson content remains unchanged; however, a variety of assessment updates have been made to improve accessibility. (These changes have already been applied to courses in Buzz.)
π Changes
We previously announced that a number of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses would be re-released to support a backend update to the LTI configuration. These updates have been deferred. This means that schools can continue using the current version of all CTE courses for SY2026β2027.
Additionally, the Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism and Introduction to Marketing courses that were originally announced as additions to our catalog are also being deferred and will not be available this fall.
To learn more about which courses are planned for updates or addition in the 2026-27 school year, please review our full summary of planned curriculum updates here. New and updated courses will be released in Buzz around June 1 and in Canvas and Schoology around July 1.
